Teriyaki Turkey Meatballs

INGREDIENTS

2 lb. ground turkey
3/4 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
1 T. Dijon mustard
1 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. garlic powder
2 T. parsley
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 T. rice wine
2 T. hoisin
1 T. honey
1 clove garlic
3 T. water
2 tsp. cornstarch

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine turkey with bread crumbs, mustard, onion, and garlic powder together and form into 1" balls. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate the meatballs for at least 15 minutes to set them. Bake for 15 minutes. 
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk soy sauce, rice wine, hoisin sauce, honey, and garlic together in a small saucepan, adding in water and cornstarch last. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes until thickened. 
  3. Place half the meatballs in a large skillet & pour sauce over the meatballs.
  4. Pairs well with steamed broccoli or quinoa.
